Explore the drama and danger of fire and fire fighting at the largest Museum of Fire in Australia. Explore the history of fighting fires from the earliest times right up to the challenges of present day fires. The Museum is also the leading fire safety education facility in the country, so you will have fun exploring the history of fire fighting and also learn what to do if there is a fire or you catch fire.
Themes covered by the museum are bushfires, dialling 000, burn prevention and treatment, and fire fighting since the early days of European settlement with fire engines and fire fighting equipment used since then on display including the original switch room from fire headquarters in Sydney.
Tours are available for all groups and bookings are essential. Worksheets and activities for school groups are available and the museum has a fully equipped 120 seat theatre.
